Terms and conditions
The agreement between you and us when you use Tallgrove. We’ve kept it as plain as we can.
Draft for legal review before launch · Last updated: 19 October 2026
1. About us
Tallgrove is provided by Nexform AI (NEXFORMAI LTD, registered in England and Wales, company number 16972967), registered office 3rd Floor, 86–90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom. Contact us at hello@tallgrove.co.uk.
2. Who can use Tallgrove
- Accounts must be opened by a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over who lives in the United Kingdom.
- Each account is for one household. Children on the account must live with the account holder.
- Up to four children can be on one account.
3. What we provide
- For each subject in your package: up to 10 hours of AI tutoring a month, a choice of tutor style, progress reports, lesson transcripts and one mock exam each month.
- Home Schooling Core: Maths, English and Science (at GCSE: Maths, English Language, English Literature, Biology, Chemistry and Physics) for one child with unlimited tutoring hours, subject to fair use of up to 5 hours a day. Each brother or sister on the Core has their own unlimited hours on the same terms.
- Lessons follow the National Curriculum for England or the exam specification for the qualification shown.
- Tallgrove is a tutoring service. It isn’t a school or an accredited online education provider. If you home educate, you remain legally responsible for your child’s education.
- We don’t guarantee any exam grade or result.
- Subjects marked “from 2027” are not yet available and can’t be bought until they open.
4. Your account
- Keep your login details safe and approve only devices your children use.
- You are responsible for how your children use Tallgrove and for supervising younger children.
- Tell us promptly if your details change.
5. Prices and payment
- Prices are shown in pounds sterling and are the full amount you pay. Nothing is added at checkout.
- You can pay for one month at a time, starting on the day you pay. A one-month payment doesn’t renew.
- Or, on our website, you can choose auto-renew. Your package then renews each month on the same date at a 5% discount until you cancel with 30 days’ notice. We’ll remind you 3 days before every renewal.
- You can pay by card on our website (through Stripe), or through Apple or Google when you buy in our app.
- Unused hours don’t carry over to the next month.
- Your price is fixed for the month you’ve paid for. A price change only applies to months bought after it.
- If a payment fails, your month doesn’t start until payment is made.
6. Changing your package
- Adding a subject or sibling: starts straight away, and you pay only for the days left in your month.
- Removing a subject or sibling: leave it out when you buy your next month.
- Changing tutor: any time before a lesson starts, at no cost. A child’s request to switch needs your approval.
7. Cooling-off period
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you can cancel within 14 days of signing up. If you asked for lessons to start during those 14 days, we’ll refund what you paid minus a proportionate amount for the tutoring hours your child has used.
8. When your month ends
- One-month payments don’t renew. Lessons stop when your month ends, until you buy another month.
- You can cancel auto-renew at any time from your parent account, in as few steps as it took to sign up, or by contacting us. Cancelling needs 30 days’ notice: any renewal that falls within those 30 days is still taken, and you keep access until the end of the month it covers. After that, nothing more is charged.
- We don’t refund part-months after the cooling-off period, except where the law requires. If you paid in our app, Apple or Google handle refunds for that payment under their own rules.
- We’ll remind you 3 days before your month ends or renews.
9. Mock tests
Extra mock tests are a one-off purchase and don’t expire while your account is open. Mock grades are estimates to guide learning, not predictions.
10. Exam bookings
- When you ask us to book an exam, we act on your behalf with an exam centre that accepts private candidates. The centre’s own terms also apply.
- You pay the centre’s fee, passed on at cost, plus a £35 booking charge per entry.
- Once an entry is made, exam boards and centres usually don’t refund fees. Our booking charge is non-refundable once the entry is made.
- You’re responsible for your child attending the exam, and for telling us about access arrangements in good time.
11. Acceptable use
You agree to follow our fair use policy. In short: one household per account, no sharing between families, no misuse of the tutors and no copying or reselling our lessons.
12. AI tutors
- Tutors are AI and can occasionally make mistakes. Please report anything that looks wrong from the lesson transcript.
- Tutors are not a substitute for medical, mental health or other professional advice.
- Lesson content and materials belong to us or our licensors. Your child may use them for their own learning.
13. Our responsibility to you
We provide Tallgrove with reasonable care and skill. If we don’t, you may be entitled to a repeat of the service or a price reduction. We’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms. We don’t exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
14. Ending or suspending your account
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the fair use policy, after a warning where reasonable. We may also suspend the service briefly for maintenance or security, and we’ll keep this to a minimum.
15. Complaints and the law
Please follow our complaints procedure. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
